Go vegan

Want to Shift to Vegan Diet?

A few tips for you to consider :

With growing health related problems, people have started becoming conscious about their health but going vegan has a long way to go. To avoid heart related problems, obesity, control pressure, one also needs to focus on an animal free diet.

Many Celebrities like Bill Clinton, Alicia Silverstone, Jay Z, and Beyoncé are leading the charge in going vegan. Many give up on their routine non vegetarian diet and follow vegan-ism just for the fact that they are anti animal slaughter and believe in restoring the natural food cycle.

Alicia Silverstone has gone one step ahead and written a book on Vegan Recipes which will definitely make us Go Vegan . She thinks that Vegan-ism can make you feel amazing and look your best. Once you’r informed, then you can be really gentle and kind to yourself, by giving yourself all the gifts life has to offer—like mental clarity and vitality—all while making the planet better “.

Now here is one recipe which i totally love from Vegan Diet, which is  Alicia Silverstone’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups from her book “THE KIND DIET ” .

1/2 c Earth Balance natural spread (dairy-free butter)
3/4 c crunchy peanut butter (preferably natural, unsweetened, and unsalted)
3/4 c graham cracker crumbs or 10 graham cracker squares, crushed
1/4 c maple sugar or other granulated sweetener
1 c grain-sweetened nondairy chocolate or carob chips
1/4 c soy, rice, or nut milk
1/4 c chopped pecans, almonds, or peanuts

Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners. (Find out where to buy unbleached liners at ifyoucare.com.) Set the tin aside.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, and maple sugar; mix well. Remove the mixture from the heat. Divide mixture evenly (about 2 tablespoons per cup) among the muffin cups.

Combine the chocolate and milk in another pan. Stir over medium heat until the chocolate has melted. Spoon the chocolate evenly over the peanut butter mixture. Top with chopped nuts. Place in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours before serving.

But before you jump on the no-meat-eggs-or-dairy bandwagon, you should know what you’re getting into. Going Vegan overnight is not possible. It takes a lot of giving up. But the giving up is for the better! Animals won’t be the only ones happy with your vegan move. So will you!

Share your Thoughts on Vegan-ism or some facts which i don’t know . I would love to read them .

Go Vegan and save your health and environment!
